Our Commitment to Privacy

Tweet Archive is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

Search Queries: We temporarily process Twitter handles you search for to retrieve archived content from public archive services (Wayback Machine, Archive.is, GhostArchive).

No Personal Data Storage: We do not store, log, or retain your search queries, personal information, or any data that could identify you.

What We Don't Do

  • We don't track users or collect analytics
  • We don't use cookies for tracking purposes
  • We don't sell or share any user data
  • We don't store search history
  • We don't require user accounts or registration

How We Work

Tweet Archive acts as a search interface that queries public archive services. When you search for a Twitter handle:

  1. Your query is sent to public archive APIs
  2. Archive results are retrieved and displayed
  3. No data is stored on our servers
  4. The session ends when you close the browser

Third-Party Services

We query the following public archive services to retrieve results:

  • Internet Archive (Wayback Machine): Subject to their privacy policy
  • Archive.is: Subject to their privacy policy
  • GhostArchive: Subject to their privacy policy

Public Information Only

Tweet Archive only searches for and displays publicly available archived content. We do not access private or protected information, and we respect the privacy settings that were in place when content was originally posted.
